Hyden Primary School established in 1934 is at the heart of our proud town. The school is adaptable in a changing world and we are readily adopting and embracing new, innovative and exciting technologies in order to meet the evolving needs of our students.
Hyden is the closest town to Western Australia’s Wave Rock and is a four-hour drive east of Perth, along the Brookton Highway. This world-famous rock is a granite cliff, standing 15 metres high, 110 metres long and shaped remarkably like a huge wave. Other interesting rock formations in the region include Hippo’s Yawn, Mulka’s Cave and The Humps.
The CRC services the community of Hyden and Karlgarin, playing an essential role keeping our community in touch and up-to-date with current information, training and events, essential services and technology.
The CRC staff are dedicated to providing access to and support for Government Services, economic, business and social development opportunities to the people of Hyden and surrounds.
